Solar4Me aims at making Solar Energy Acessible to all through Innovation
Reducing dependency on Grid source Electricity, saving money
We seek to bring innovations that comply with the SDGs
According to Lighting Africa, a subsidiary of the world bank group, close to 600 million people in sub-Saharan Africa – about two-thirds of the population – live without grid electricity. The lack of basic energy services in some parts of the country (the rural areas) have negatively affected the quality of life and health of the indigenes of these rural areas. As a substitute for light, the indigenes resort to using kerosene base lamps - Bobo.
Considering the problems at hand, we at Solar4me have come up with an innovation called the “the solarbox”: a simple affordable solar light station with a sonic repellent and an FM radio fabricated for the market woman, the food vendor and the average basic school student, serving all the purpose of the Bobo and more and conforming to SDG #7 – achieving universal energy access by 2030.
Know MoreThe solar Pannel provides the main mechanism for trapping energy for the solarbox.
